Cohutta-Chattahoochee Scenic Byway
When the Blue Ridge Parkway was being built from Virginia to North Carolina, Franklin Delano Roosevelt wanted to continue it through Georgia, but time and money were in short supply as the nation prepared for World War II. Richard B. Russell pushed for additional scenic highway miles in the 1950's, successfully building a road in the vicinity of Brasstown Bald. Today, the Cohutta-Chattahoochee Scenic Byway continues the dreams of these men and others who want to introduce Georgians to the scenic, cultural, and historic backroads from Dalton to the top of Fort Mountain.

Driving this 54 mile trail will allow visitors to take in the North Georgia way of life as they explore the route through pastoral farmland to breathtaking views from mountain heights to valley sites...get the details when you click on the link below:
